I think I missed my surge- I tested twice the other day when I had the really dark/not quite positive OPKs, then tested yesterday only once and it seemed lighter. Won't test til a little later today but I'm fairly sure I missed detecting the surge. Which of course means I have no idea when I O'd and won't know how many DPO I am.

Bah humbug.

Well, if it was pretty close to positive, it's probably safe to say that your surge happened and you might have missed it. That doesn't mean you didn't/won't O! I would keep testing for a few days to make sure your surge happened. Try not to stress too much and get down to BDing!

OPKs are so tricky! I tried them when we were TTC #2. It's so hard to get enough warning and to interpret them. I ended up buying the ClearBlue Fertility Monitor -- gives you several days of "high" before the peak days so it was really helpful. Worked for us, too! (DD #2 is 18 months and we are on to trying for #3!)

Just cause u missed the surge it doesn't mean u missed the egg. Remember ovulation doesn't happen til up to 48 hours after a + n than the egg floats around for 8-12 hours so u still could have time so get to bdn just incase. Gl
