Hello all! I'm new here and its my first post, and on my cell phone no less so I hope this turns out ok! My apologizes if I posted this in the wrong forum! My husband and I decided to start trying for another baby this month! So, to prepare I've been checking cervical mucus and paying attention to when I ovulate. My cycles are on tMay 5, he short side ranging from 21 days to 25 .I have no fertility issues I'm aware of. Here's the weird part, I had my last period from April 29th to May 2nd (normal for me.) My husband and I Bd'd on May 3rd and everything was fine, nothing unusual. Today, may 5th, I had two quick really sharp pains in my right ovary area which left after a couple minutes and was immediately followed by a ton of clear stretchy cervical mucus (sorry TMI!!) That was tinged bright pink, this happened after two wipes and I'm fine now, no spotting, no pain etc..This has never happened before, could I have ovulated early? Its not a cyst, I tend to get them enough to know exactly what they feel like. And since I know I've never spotted between periods (just during periods themselves, in the beginning &end) I have no clue what this could mean? I've read about ovulation spotting but is ovulation spotting the kind that I had? I'm so confused but hoping I did ovulate early, maybe I can catch the egg? What do you guys think?? So this is my update!! It is now Tuesday, 3 days since that Saturday spotting cramping event! According to my ovulation chart I am 2 days away from ovulation (that is if I didn't ovulate early on Saturday ) Well, since Saturday my cervix keeps getting harder and harder and my cervical mucus has dried up (say whaaa????)This morning my nips hurt and tingled like they usually in my luteal phase but that went away, thank goodness I don't know if I'd like sore nips for two whole weeks instead of one! Anyway, I can't understand why these things are happening but I hope it proves my Ob wrong and I ovulated early! The crappy thing is on Monday I think I caught a cold, I have a sore throat that comes and goes, a headache and runny nose so if I do ovulate on my the day my chart says we probably wont catch the eggy since I don't want to get DH sick!! Only other weird thing is I keep getting a stitch pre say in my right side, kinda weird who knows..Baby dust to all!!!

First of all, welcome! Make yourself right at home!
It sounds like it could be ovulation. The twinges, egg white cervical mucus, and pink spotting can all be tell tale signs of ovulation. The egg only lives for 12 to 24 hours after being released, so just in case, I would get to baby dancing right away (if you haven't already). I hope you catch the egg!
Thank you so much for all your help!! I am really hoping it was early ovulation! I never knew ovulation could come so early but maybe that's my norm and I never noticed until now! I am really thinking it was ovulation because (TMI ALERT ) my cervix was soft and high that day and today is high and firm! I still have cervical mucus but not like that day! There was so much in a span of minutes I had to change, weird huh? lol! And hopefully since we got busy just three days before (1 am so maybe even less than three days considering the spotting happened in the afternoon! ) maybe ill get lucky and we caught the egg! Even now, no more spotting or pain etc! Fingers crossed! Sticky baby dust to you all! Thanks again!!
Thank you! I will definitely keep an update! Since now I'm pretty sure I ovulated I have a very long wait ahead of me! I've already had a couple a couple depressing times where aunt flow shows so trying not to get my hopes up this time! The Two week wait is sooo frustrating isn't it?
well, I'm a little depressed, I called my obgyn, I asked them about that Saturday hoping they would say ovulation and all I got was oh course its not ovulation, it hadn't even been a week and take a pregnancy test and then was scolded for not seeing them for two years.Well, why in the heck would I take a pregnancy test, it was four days two days of spotting, two days heavy with a couple clots, I'm definitely not pregnant with a period like that! I'm hoping they are wrong about the ovulation thing. And to top it all off I feel like I'm getting sick, sore throat, headache and tired which means no more BDing until it gets better, don't want to get DH sick!! I'm gonna try and remain optimistic! Welcome aboard!! Although it sounds like you may have ovulated early... I would def keep an eye out to make sure you don't see any more fertile patches of cm come through. With your period on the 29th of April that was not even a week of coming off of AF. Normally your hormone levels have not had a chance to adjust to get your ovary and egg matured and ready to release. But... anything is possible when ttc!!! Just keep an eye out to make sure it wasn't just an estrogen surge or somthing random that created the fertile mucos.
Just hate for you to miss the eggie because you assumed you already ovulated. Just my 2 cents! I would watch around the time you would normally ovulate and make sure you don't see any fertile CM appear.
Thanks! I hope I don't miss my egg either. My body is always sending me mixed signals, its very hard to chart! I never know what to expect anymore! Right now I have clear watery and whitish cm which I usually get my entire luteal phase and my cervical position is high and firm just like it usually is during my luteal phase too but I can get this before my ovulation too. Sigh...With already having a child you'd think I'd know about this stuff but with him I had no clue I was pregnant, I just took the test cuz it was about to expire and I couldn't stand the idea I was wasting a 20 dollar test roflmao, imagine my shock when it came out positive! Plus that was 3 years ago, I can barely remember what I ate yesterday! lol..oh my I'm just so confused ...thanks again for your support!!
