My LP is usually super long, like 16+ days. I got one BFN (glad I only used one test this cycle!) then started getting AF cramps a couple days ago. About an hour ago I go to the restroom and HELLOOOOO AUNT FLO!!! My LP was only 13 days???

I mean I guess this cycle could just have been way off because of the fact that I had a bad staph infection that resulted in surgery and me having to start Clomid 2 days later than usual, not ovulating until CD 19, and being on antibiotics for the majority of my cycle... oh plus the stress of getting back to work and also moving, .... but come on!

If it's not all of those other things going on, and my LP just magically permanently shortened, is 13 days still OK? I assume this coming cycle will be back to normal but it was a MAJOR shock to see brownish-pink blood this early.

I AM secretly glad to be bleeding though, because this means I don't have to wait extra long like every other "normal" cycle to begin taking my Clomid this time around. So HOORAY for AF but BOO for another failed cycle.

This next one is going to be it

Anyway do you ladies think my cycle is just way out of whack because of all the events that took place this month, or do you think it's something I should be concerned about? I don't see my doctor again until July and he wanted to do an HSG or SA if I wasn't pregnant by then, so I may just tell him this whole cycle was way messed up and we didn't really have a chance just to put that off another month if possible.

I just wrote a novel, I'm sorry. Just really confused but excited and I guess in a weird kinda mood.

Booo AF

It sounds like with all the stuff going on this cycle, that it might have been what affected your LP. The good news is, 13 days is NOT too short! If it's shorter than 10 days, then you might start getting concerned, but the "normal" LP is 14 days, so you're definitely OK.

Well I think that it very well could have been linked to this crazy month...stress causes the body to change.
A 13 day LP is still good and in the normal range so even if it is a more permanent change I don't think it will hurt you.
Come on March DDC!

Sorry the evil witch showed up!!! I really think you having surgery and being sick could have very well thrown your whole cycle off. Hoping this cycle coming up is your cycle and you get your bfp!!!
