I had a c-section with Olivia. I've never had any problems with any of it in terms of myself - no pain issues, etc. As of yesterday, just under my scar there is a little round bump of some sort and it's tender to the touch. I was thinking it may be scar tissue except the fact that on Saturday there was nothing in terms of the bump or the tenderness, and yesterday it was there. Now I'm kinda wondering if maybe it's a positive sign of something to come....?

If it's just under your scar (assuming you had a low transverse incision) then it would be overtop of your pubic bone. Sounds to me like scar tissue. Even if it wasn't there a few days ago. If it's painful, then I'd probably go and get it checked out.

I've never had anything like that, but I agree, I would get it checked out by your doctor. Good luck hun

Bummer - here I was getting excited that it could be good news.

I have called and made an appointment with my doctor for tomorrow afternoon so we will see what she says. It's not like a terrible pain, but it's enough that I had to put maternity pants on again today because the regular pants rubbing on it was uncomfortable - not sure that I'd quite call it painful, but definitely not normal and uncomfortable.
Thanks for the opinions!

It is odd that it showed up a year later. Where are you in your cycle now?

Maybe I can give you some hopeful thoughts. When I got pg this time with #2 my section scar got tender and itchy. I'm 17wks and it's still kind of tender sometimes.

I get that every once in a while around my scar. It turns out to be an ingrown hair. Something happened to the skin around the scar (and my scar is beautiful, you can barely see it) but the hair around the scar grows so thick and in weird angles.

Jaime - thanks for commenting. I thought I was the only one with an itchy / sore scar around AF. I even went so far as getting a bladder study done I got so fed up! No one knew what was wrong! I feel SO much better now.

Thanks ladies! Will update after work today.
I hope it's something as simple as an ingrown hair - although I'd feel awful silly for wasting the drs time
