Hi ladies! I posted a few times in AIP (no, as it turns out ) but thought I'd introduce myself here seeing as I'm nearing my predicted OD for this cycle and could use some baby dust! Some background: my last cycle was only 27 days, the one before that was 32. So my period tracking app says I'll probably O on the first. To be safe, my fiancé and I DDT late night the 27th and last night, the 29th. we're aiming for roughly every other day until the 5th or so. Luckily we have a very active sex life already lol! I've been checking my CM for the last few days but no EWCM yet. About how soon before O should I see it? Is it possible to O without seeing it? I want our little Mung Bean to be here already (my fiancé is from China, hence the nickname for our not-yet-conceived child lol)! I've been obsessively searching for pics of half Asian half white babies because I want an idea of what our kids will look like. the consensus? ADORABLE! Anyone else have mixed race little ones? Anyone due to O the beginning of August and want to suffer the TWW with me? I was SOOOOO sure last month that I was pregnant - had what it bought were imantation twinges, pinching in belly, headaches, super sore bbs, etc. thought I was having IB but it turned out to be AF five days early . I know I'm going to symptom spot and agonize for the TTW so I could use some support!
CM is going to be different for everyone, and even cycle to cycle for the same person. You can O without EWCM but it will be more difficult for the sperm to reach the egg. If you find you are O'ing without EWCM you can look into a lube called Preseed which is supposed to help. GL and baby dust your way!

Those period tracker apps really aren't all that accurate. With differing cycles, your best bet is to use OPKs and charting. (check out Fertility Friend for tutorials) Those all go off of a standard 14 day LP, and if your cycle is different lengths all the time, you just never know when it's going to be accurate, if at all!
As for the CM, it differs from woman to woman. Somebody already suggested pre-seed which is great for those without an abundance of EWCM.
Oh, and my husband is hispanic and I'm pretty much as white as they get. I am totally guilty of googling mixed baby pics before DD was born! She's super cute as you can see
Some women never get the ewcm, but slippery Wet is generally fertile too. I usually get ewcm like 5 days prior and then the day before, but I also used pre seed bc we generally need something and I def recommend it. But I did want to add that bc cm changes all month and is different for everyone you may want to start temping or at least using opks. Those apps assume o at cd14 and since you have had two diff cycle lengths you most likely are not ovulating on the same day every month. If you had a 32 day cycle and ovulated on day 14 you would have had an 18 day lp which isn't usually possible unless you are preggo and since they stay consistent that means on your 27 day cycle you would have ovulated on or close tom cycle day nine. Sorry for the rant but I was just trying to explain why I think if you want to get pregnant soon you should probably use an alternative tracking method to the app bc I think it's something like only 35 percent of women who o on cd14. Anyway i hope you guys got it this month keep us posted and dint worry ifyour not seeing ewcm, but you can also try taking mucinex or any expectorant with guafisen (sp) to help produce sperm friendly lube. Again sorry for my super rant and welcome to just mommies!

DH is Mexican and I am a white girl. I haven't googled the half and half babies, but I know they would be pretty babies because we are beautiful people
Muffin and hopingfor2bri, thanks for the input! I would like to get some opks and start temping but we just brought the car into the shop and until fiancé's raise kicks in next month cash is tight so I'll have to wait.
On the bright side.... Definitely got an abundance of EWCM today! Never thought I'd be so psyched to have heavy discharge lol! fiancé and I DTD last night again (I think he doesn't know rather this ttc thing is the best thing to happen to him recently, or potentially the death of him lol!). But unfortunately he's working overnight tonight so no nookie. If I DO O tomorrow and we don't BD tonight, will that hurt our chances? We dtd last night and I know sperm can survive a few days inside me, but since I didn't have EWCM last night and we can't do it tonight when I DO have EWCM, does that hurt our chances? Any input welcome!
So, update - today at work I went to pee and when I wiped, there was just the TINIEST smear of pinkish-brown on the paper. I wiped again and got a few specks of bright red - tiny, like someone rested the tip of a red pen against wet paper for a moment, and just a few. Nothing since then. If this were later in my cycle I would SWEAR it was IB, but cd 1 was the 19th and according to my cycle app I don't even ovulate until today (though I do realize how inaccurate those apps can be!). Even if I DID O early, fiance and I only had unprotected sex on the 27 (late at night) since the beginning of this cycle, so that's the earliest anything could happen. Is there a chance it WAS IB and I just happened to ovulate/implant really early? Like, if the egg was far down the fallopian tube when we DTD, could I implant earlier than the usual 6 days? I know the range for implantation is generally given as 6-12 days, but CAN it happen earlier? Or is this ovulation spotting? I have NEVER had that, and NEVER spot unless I'm starting my period - and this is NOTHING like any spotting I've ever had - way too light and brief. Or could I have caused the spotting from checking my CM or something? Help! I'm so confused,a nd i do not want to get my hopes up over nothing!
Also, HOW on earth do I edit my topic subject so I can put "update" in the title? I'm at a loss!
That definitely sounds like what I've read ovulation spotting to be like.and I've also read it usually coincides with ewcm so sounds like it might be a good thing and some people get it before they actually ovulate so you might still be ok if you ca bd tomorrow am or pm. And btw not that very penny doesn't count when you're on a budget but my bbt only cost me like 7 bucks at walgreens and you can get very cheap opks as well, but if you wanna stick with tracking your cm i understand i just know if feels so good to confirm o and be able to see whats really going on with your cycle. And since a lot of people do the every other day bd plan i wouldn't worry too much about missing bookie tonight. Hth gl and kup

hopingfor2bri - thanks! Fiance and I DTD last night and will probably keep up the every other day schedule for another week to be sure, just in case I o late. We said that if this cycle didn't work then we'd spring for a basal thermometer and/or some opks. So we'll see. Also, as a side note, last night when we DTD it was pretty uncomfortable for me - he kept hitting my cervix, I think. Can that be related to fertility?
Okay, so update - today I've got very mild cramping and lots of EWCM. My cervix is very low, and firm. I think this might mean I ovulated recently and now I'm in the tww. Opinions? Anyone?
Generally speaking the ewcm goes away after sociwould guess and it's only a guess but that you haven't O'd yet and from what I've learned on here cervical position and firmness can change hourly and isn't really a good indicator but I know muffin and Clare (captivate) can probably shed more insight. for me and a lot of others after o you generally dry up a little and then experience more creamy like cm post o and sometimes ewcm bc you experience a second estrogen surge sometimes in the luteal phase, but not usually ring after. A lot of times people. Also surge or gear up to o and then don't but then surge agin and o. So without charting it's hard to say. But in short ESP with the cramping I'd say your about to. Just my opinion though. Gl and keep up the baby dancing until your fertile cm is gone. I hope you catch that Effie and I hope some ofour advice helps a little
