I think I got a bad batch. I can usually tell in the first 30 seconds if they are going to be positive or negative but these ones start out SUPER light, like you can barely even see a second line, if at all and get darker right around 3-4 minutes. This morning's looked like it was going to be VERY negative, and then all of a sudden, the test released more dye and it got pretty dark. Not positive but much closer than they've been.

ANybody else have this issue?

Hmmm, I haven't had that with the ICs but this is my only first batch. Can you throw them out and go to the store and get a new batch for this cycle?

I order the ones from Ebay, they are $7 for 40 of them. I hate spending money on those thing. I think they will give me an accurate idea of what's going on, it's just frustrating when I thought I had it all figured out and now I have to wait to whole 5 minutes. I am not the most patient person in the world.

Mine seem to be pretty similar, i think thats just the case with some cheapies! I did O last month and detected it with same OPKs i've always used so i know they work but i always go by the rule, check the result as close to 4 minutes as possible and compare with older ones! If it does seem to darken after 4 mins i maybe take another one that evening just in case as i don't want to miss that eggy!! But i think, for me, reading the results at the same time each test gives me a nice progression! GL

I need to wait 5 mins to see my result but it does say you need to wait that. Maybe you're having the same as mine. X

Mine always take the 5 minutes to be able to tell. They start off really light like yours and then get darker. Still haven't had a positive one yet but I'm only CD10

I'm CD 15 today and they seem to be much darker today then they've been yet. I am really hoping my body is gearing up to O. I've been having wet CM for DAYS and an open cervix, but OPK's have been stark negative for me, until today.

I think CD 15-20 is pretty average for me, based on when we were TTC my son. I O'd on CD 11 last cycle, but only had a 4 day LP and I O'd on CD 24 the cycle before that and had a 12 day LP if you don't count the spotting, 8 days if you do. I am ready for my body to just be back on track.
