Are you bleeding? Why are you at the hospital? I think that number is fine for 10DPO as long as it doubles in the next couple of days. 2nd opinion! See YOUR Dr ASAP.

Ditto on all pp including your chart clare I think your beta is fine elaina's was 46 at 12dpo and now today hers is over 150. I would call your dr ASAP even leave a message tonight bc that's ridiculous and they should never tell someone that unless they are sure. Did they elaborate?

Is this the first beta level you've had drawn? If so, there's nothing to compare it to, so no way to know if it is increasing or decreasing. Looking at just one level, there is NO reason to assume you are losing the baby. As the others have said, that level is in the acceptable range. The important thing is to see the number increasing, and hopefully doubling every 2-3 days. I've seen very low initial levels go on to be completely healthy pregnancies.

I hope you are OK! Are/were you in the ER? Most ER docs are not going to have a great deal of knowledge about OB stuff, unfortunately. Hopefully you can get in to see your OB ASAP.

Unless you have a previous beta to compare this to that was just a horrible thing for them to say! Definitely get a second opinion.

That number sounds totally healthy for 10 DPO. Why were you at the hospital? I thought you had an appointment with your regular doctor this afternoon. Did something change?

I have a appointment set up to go to my normal doctor. I was at the er for almost fainting while walkong around the block with dh he didnt think it was.normal. So he took me but they did an ultrasound (way to soon for one imo) and did a blood draw. Thay was thefirst one. I am getting the second in a day I guess since its already the next day. Sorry about not answering sooner. I came home and passed out. I dont feel like I am miscarrying. No cramps no bleeding nothing at all. Besidea almost fainting and freaking hubs out

Then they had no right to say your going to lose the baby.

I have to say it was good if then to do the draw and scan although they probably scared you to death.

So sorry you had to go through all of that! Glad to hear you are ok, though. Always good to get things checked out if you're not sure. The dizziness/almost passing out could very well be due to your expanding blood volume/lower blood pressure, which is common even in very early pregnancy. Hopefully that's what it was! As for the u/s...yes, it is early. This early on, it is common not to be able to see much at all--totally normal at this point, though. It's good that you have that initial beta result, though...now when you go to your OB you'll have something to compare to.

Sounds like all is well, but I hope you do get good news from your OB!

I know light headed and feeling like that can be an early sign of pregnancy.

I hope the people at the hospital were stupid and everything is OK. I don't see ANY reason why they should have told you that.

That's just ridiculous that they said that to you. But totally COMMON unfortunately. The doctors always seem to forget that your beta number starts LOW and increases from there. They always want to see a big number right off, but you were ONLY 10 DPO for Pete's sake! That is very very early and 36 totally within range for that time period. We had a girl in my DDC who started at 4. She just got her beta test really really early. They should never have gotten you upset about that. Your next draw just needs to be around 72 for it to be going up normally. Knowing how I was treated, they will probably continue to act concerned even if it doubles just fine, so don't be surprised if they act like you aren't out of the woods yet if your number comes back at 72 or higher. It's going to take a little while of doubling before it gets to a number the doctors will be happy about. Will keep you in my thoughts and hope to see some nice doubling numbers!

So sorry you had to go thru that. I went thru that with my second. I had a miscarriage in between DD1 and DD2 and they told me they thought I was going to have another miscarriage because they wouldn't believe I was 4 weeks and said I was 6 (going off my LMP but I know that was wrong). It was awful thinking I was gonna miscarry again, but she is six and a half today and just full of life. I also had bad dizziness with that pregnancy. I hope you get great Beta numbers!
