So if i got my smiley at like midnight last night after not testing for a few days and then a neg in the middle of the night and this am is it safe to assume I caught the end of my surge and should o in the next 12-24 more like12? Since I usually test everyday 2x at least I usually at least get a few positives within a 24 hour window. I know if I got my smiley I should be ok but I'm just second guessing everything I know this cycle.. Thx in advance need DF to bd again this afternoon since he was too tired this am arggh

Thx Mindy so let's say I O'd 12 hours later meaning an hour ago would we still be able to catch it if we bd in the next few hours since the egg hangs around for 12 ish and you are supposed to bd on o day even o+12 if you are swaying which were not, but still? We did bd last night after my smiley so Fx

This is how I understand it.

I'll give you 2 end if scale scenarios.

You get your +opk in the morning. Your afternoon is neg..... You ovulate midnight that night, your temp won't shift until 2nd day after your FIRST opk because the progesterone hasn't risen enough for the thermal shift.

You get your +opk in the morning, afternoon and the following morning..... You ovulate 2 days after your FIRST opk looked positive. You won't get a thermal shift until the 3rd day after your FIRST opk.

I forgot, here's another.
You get one positive opk in the morning..... You ovulate 12 hours after...... That's enough time to get a thermal shift starting the very next day.

Ughh DF is having trouble finishing today bc of the pressure I am praying we can get one more in this afternoon evening at the latest as my boobies are already starting to hurt so I think my egg has popped or is about to at least we got a good one in last night even though I didnt prop I wish we could just press an eject or ejaculate lol button on our men. I knew I shouldn't have told him but I had to or I def wouldn't get any today argghh

Mine are still within pre-o range - and my opks are so light that I doubt I will get a positive for at least five days. I am going to start testing twice a day now though just in case.

This is my first month actually TTC and I am already getting annoyed with opks, lol. I really hope it doesn't take me long to conceive because I am soooooo impatient, lol. I wish my cycles were shorter and not so long I wanna be in the surge club with everyone else, haha!

We did actually get to bd yesterday and temp rose today not a huge spike but I'm a slow riser lol so fx we got it! I wish you were with us too Mindy!
