Are there any vitamins that TTCers should stay away from?

I'm taking folic acid 800mcg.

Epo before o 3000 per day.

Stay away from extra b6....

I was told when under pregnancy care to make sure the pre natal says while ttc, is they are just pregnancy ones they may have too much of something.

What is agnus castus and what is it for?

I take these Buy Vitafusion PreNatal, Gummy Vitamins, Berry, Lemon & Cherry & More | drugstore.com but it doesn't say it is for TTC.

I also take extra vit c since my immune system is not very great.

I just bought those yesterday! I had a prescription prenatal but they ran out finally and I didn't care to ask for another refill

They taste good and I don't hate taking them like I do with most other vitamins, lol. I'm still a kid at heart I guess. Now if I only could find some gummy iron pills, lol.

I am actually only taking a regular daily vitamin right now. I need to get some more prenatals. I will probably get some next time we are out.

Taking Rainbow Light prenatal multi, fish oil, L-lysine and powdered magnesium citrate at bedtime right now. The L-lysine prevents cold sores and the Mg is to help me sleep at night. I was told all are safe while TTC and while preg, so I go with them for now.

A prenatal, extra vitamin D (not for TTC purposes, just because it's healthy!), and 50mg of B6 - I was spotting a few days before AF for a few cycles, so I decided to try taking B6, and it totally worked - no more spotting!

Haha, Gummies are the best! Hey if they are good enough for my girls, they are good enough for me

Erin80 - That's great about the spotting. Have you noticed any difference in your cycle length since taking the B6?

I was taking (and still am) the Vitafusion prenatal gummies, too (or sometimes the Target brand). Love them! I've also been taking extra B6 and B-50 complex--the first cycle, it made no difference in O day, cycle length, or LP length, though I had a somewhat lighter AF; second cycle, I O'd one day earlier, and I don't know how it might have increased my LP or cycle length because I conceived this cycle, whereas my previous LP had been 9 days.

My prenatals have 15 MG B6 and I noticed that my AF was lighter this past time. Have only been taking for 1.5 cycles. I think it might have made me O later, but my periods are irregular so it is hard to tell.

I'm taking a multivitamin (I'll switch to a prenatal after these are gone). I'm also taking fish oil. I'm adding in CoQ10 soon.

Me: Prenatal, probiotic, calcium (1000mg calcium, 400mg vitamin D, 200mg magnesium), fish oil (1500mg total omega-3, 750mg EPA, 500mg DHA), and 5mg (5000mcg) folic acid. - Oh, and a progesterone suppository during my LP.

DH: CoQ10, ACES+Zn, Quercus Pedunculata, Tribulus Forte, folic acid and B12 injections, and the same fish oil as me.

You should have seen our bag of meds when we went away this weekend! Throw in DDs vitamin and we were a walking pharmacy! We almost needed an extra suitcase for all of it.
