Hello all! I am new to this board but it looks really active and I am very excited to get some opinions! So I am not currently TTC but I will be once I get my weight down. I already have pre existing health problems that will cause me to be on bed rest and take blood thinner shots. I really want to get my weight down before I TTC. I am part of this weight loss group on fb and after researching for a bit I decided to try the products. Has anyone tried them? Do you think they will work? I don't want to waste my money and time trying something that won't work. I want to get to my goal weight so I can start TTC I have copied the website link from the fb group beautifulwishes (dot) skinnyfiber (dot com) (*It wouldn't let me post a link but that's how I checked it out so I wrote it like that* As a note, I am not selling anything - this was copied from the group) I just want to know if anyone out there has maybe tried it to get down to a good weight to TTC or lost some post baby weight? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!!

I haven't tried that, but I wouldn't put much stock into any weight loss drug really. The healthy way to lose weight and keep it off is simply to change your lifestyle. Work out more, eat better. It may be slower but it's better for you.

Now if you have some underlying problem that makes weight loss difficult, you can try to talk to your doctor to see if they can suggest anything for you. I wouldn't do anything with out my doctor's approval though.

Weight loss drugs do not work, nor are they healthy and sustainable for a lifetime. I have a forum I can personally recommend if you would like, lots of good information, with good people. Keep us posted.
ETA people should also notice in those adds that generally they recommend diet and exercise with these items. Anyone who maintains a low calorie diet, with exercise, for a sustained period of time will lose weight. Even without the drugs.

I recently lost all of the extra weight that I gained with my first pregnancy (and I gained a lot). I lost about 70lbs through healthy diet & exercise. I used MyFitnessPal (app & website) to help me keep track of my nutrition & exercise. I found that for me, making sure I ate enough protein, fiber and fat really helped keep me from being hungry all the time, which helped me stick to my goals. And I exercised 3 times per week, usually only 20 - 30 minutes each time. It took me 2.5 years after giving birth, but I got there. My goal was to get back to my desired weight before TTC, which I was able to do. It can be done without meds or supplements. Good luck to you!
