Hello! I'm new to this whole board thing, but I was wanting some info on a Laparoscopy. I have been ttc for 4 years now, I've had every test done and everything is good to go. My periods are not always right. I bleed lightly for about 2 weeks. I use to hurt very bad, but this past year I've not had much pain or none at all. My husband has had a SA, and in the doctor's words, "He's a stud, no problem there!". I have taken Ovulation tests everyday and found out I'm ovulating while I am bleeding... Go figure... But my doctor would like to do a Laparoscopy and run dye through my tubes to see if there are any blockages... I've read other places where women get this done, and they get prego almost right away. Has anyone else had this? What is the process (in your words) I would rather read about experience than a medical site about the way things are done. What about recovery time? I am really trying to stay positive, but it seems like every month gets harder and harder to stay positive...
I had laproscopic surgery to get rid of some tiny cysts that I had. It was relatively painless. With mine, and idk if what you are talking about is the same, but they cut just under my belly button and my just below the hair line of you know where. They blew my stomach up with gas so there was room. Then they stuck a camera in one hole and a laser in the other. After the surgery I had problems with the gas leaking through my body, which they said would happen. My shoulder and hip hurt from it but it wasn't completely terrible. I was healed in like 5-7 days for the most part. I could go to work at about 9 days. So its a fairly easy surgery. Really nothing to be afraid of. Getting my wisdom teeth pulled hurt more.
TTC my first! - 21st cycle. We will succeed this month.
We can and will get pregnant.
Stay positive and stress free. Enjoy yourself.
