Hi everyone!! We are new to this forum. My husband and I have started trying for our first child. I'm 24 soon to be 25. When I was 17 I had an abortion. Been on and off birth control since 18. We decided to stop using birth control In Oct. of this year. We had a false positive in November because of some antibiotics I was taking. I guess my question is, should I expect this to be a longer en devour because of the abortion and birth control? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

We took several. One was positive and the other 4 negative. And a week later I had my period. I ovulated Dec 6th. So now its the waiting game. I'm feeling bloated, constipated, moody and I have a strong motherly nurturing feeling.

BC can cause major problems when TTC, I've been off for 7 months and still no BFP!! I hope that isn't the case for you the abortion shouldn't have affected your fertility in the long run. Good luck!

I took BCP for five years before TTC my first son. It took 14 months to conceive him, due to the after-effects of the pill.

Birth control really messes with your hormones and it takes your body a little while to get all straightened out. And it depends on each person on how long it takes your body to reset itself. I know it took me a couple months after I stopped taking the pills to have a good grasp on my cycles.
