I am so confused, I had my period three days early and took a pregnancy test after the bleeding stopped and it was negative. I was having all the pregnancy symptoms even throwing up, but negative test. I had my period on February 3rd for 2 days took pregnancy test 7 February negative. Since I was still nauseous, boobs started hurting and tired I took a pregnancy test this morning and it was positive. How common are false positives, and how common is it to get a positive pregnancy test this late after a period? I tookthis exact pregnancy test three days ago and stark white negative and there still a stark white negative on it. I took this picture about two minutes after taking the test.

Maybe your bleeding wasn't a "period" but was implantation bleeding? Or maybe you ovulated super early in your cycle (it's been known to happen)!

In any case,

a huge

So exciting!

I'm thinking your ovulation dates are off? (I don't see your chart as updated!) I think congratulations are in order!!!

To answer your question, flase positives aren't all that common. Evaps can happen, but that's no evap!

Thanks ladies, I'm going to buy an Answer or digi. If that's positive I will be giving my husband good news via mail down range. I surprise him with something cool, to let him know he's going to be a daddy again

I got 23 false positives out of 25 off of those tests (Can see the print from the front of the packet.)
Thought it was a chemical, as I had light positives coming up straight away but they never got darker (from 7dpo to 10dpo.). Two came up stark negative.
I wasted multiple FRER during the time. All negative.
Took one of these during my period, same faint line, a week after my period, same faint line.
Yours is darker than mine were, but I am extremely wary of these tests. Definitely get a FRER.

Thanks Lotsakids that's why I am going to get a FRER Or dollar test. I've never bought the Internet test, so I was a little wary. I will update with the results

I've had good luck with Clinical Guard (or Clinic Guard - can't remember the exact name off-hand). They're not super sensitive, but I haven't gotten any false positives from them, and they showed positive with my ectopic in November. They're internet cheapies and have worked well for me - but I always confirm with FRER or another test when a positive occurs!

I can't wait to see the dollar tree test or the digital!! xoxo

I've taken a ton of pregnancy tests and never have even gotten as much as anything even remotely close to a positive result...until I was actually pregnant. That looks like a real BFP to me - can't wait to see your next test!

Good luck!

If af showed up early that looks like a positive to me. And maybe what you experienced was implantation bleeding. Good luck with your frer x

SHARITA <3 I so hope this is a super sticky bean for you and the hub

I know 2 different ladies in real life that continued to have monthly "periods" for 3-4 months of pregnancy.

AHH so excited to see more tests!

OMG....I feel like that's a miracle...!! Who gets their period and is actually preg? LOL...actually a lot of people...lol, I had a friend who had the same thing and my mom....it's actually more common than you think and from what you described, it sounds like it was a weird period which usually happens. So weird that you just got that BFP though...but, I will say after being a "I didn't know I was pregnant" tv show junkie....some people get BFN for a long time and that's why they don't know

So amazing...so happy for you! that is certainly a BFP....<<<hugs>>> curious to see how far along you are!!!!! xoxo!!!!!! =))))))
