I just cams off the pill on February 21 (the day I had my last period.) I have missed my period for the month of April. I am now 25 days late. Even before I started the pill my period was regular.

I took a test about 6 days ago at night ( cheap Walmart brand) and waited about two minutes and it was a negative sadly. I wasn't having any signs if pregnancy till about four days ago. Now my breast become more sore each day (which normally doesn't happen when on my period) and I am having heart burn today ( i didnt know what this was since I have never experienced this before so it kind of scared me lol) no morning sickness though.

I have had unprotected sex every day since I got off the pill. Is there a chance that I just skipped ovulation for last month and maybe I have gotten pregnant this cycle? Would that cause a fasle negative pregnancy test do to testing too early though I am 25 days late for my period in February?

Thanks!

Technically you could have ovulated and then gotten pregnant and it be too early to test positive on a pregnancy test.

Or you could be having an anovulatory cycle (I'm familiar with these) which will cause your body to just hang out.

Basically ovulation is the thing that leads to a period. When you don't ovulate your body just kind of hangs out waiting for the hormone dips that happen after ovulation. Eventually your body will either ovulate or just start a new cycle by starting your period.

While some women do ovulate on their first cycle off of the pill it's more likely that you didn't ovulate. Give it some time. If you get uncomfortable with the length then you can call your doctor who can prescribe you a pill to initiate your period.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

It may take many cycles for your body to regulate itself from the pill.

It took me 9 months to start O'ing again and even then it's hit and miss, in that 9 months I still took around 25 HPTs because I had SO many symptoms >< birth control really messes with the natural way of things and unfortunately for most it's just a waiting game! I hope things get back to normal for you soon

So if I'm not pregnant at the moment, if I continue to have unprotected sex daily is there a high chance I may become pregnant when I do eventually ovulate? I was not on the pill very long, Off and on for about a year. and all the other times I have taken a break from the pill my cycle has continued to be normal.or at the most off by three days.

Keep in mind you are talking with a statistician here. So I'm not going to say you have a high probability of anything unless I have the numbers in front of me

In general couples only have a 20-25% chance of getting pregnant on any one cycle given all things are normal. I'm not a doctor, nor am I a fertility expert. Hypothetically if you were to ovulate during this time period and be having sex daily or almost daily then you would be doing all of the things necessary to get pregnant and it seems likely that you would. However no one can guarantee that you will ovulate, or that sperm will reach the egg, or that the egg will implant, or that it will be viable.

If you are trying to get pregnant then having sex every day or every other day is a great way to do it! There's a written plan called "Sperm meets egg" that follows the same line of thinking.
