I definitely agree with what TTCMommax2 wrote. She nailed it dead on.
I can definitely also relate to what Jill wrote too. I feel old for writing this, but I have been an RN for 8 yrs!!! All my time has been as an ICU/CVICU nurse. While nursing is great at trying at having so much to offer job wise and flexibility. It also has its down falls like every other job, they want an experienced person to work with and not have to train someone. I have tried to get out of ICU nursing for awhile now and just can't seem to find anyone willing to take a chance on teaching this old dog new tricks. I would love to work PACU/Same Day Surgery/ and or L&D. But like everything else, only want someone that comes with those skills already to work with them. Because I have to be honest, I am really getting worn out on taking care of ghetto people and at a teaching hospital where you are teaching the docs how to do things.
