How many of you ladies WANT to find out you are pregnant before your missed period? I go back and forth on whether or not I would even want to know.

Tomorrow I could be considered late on my period if I don't start. I could also be considered late a week from tomorrow. Since I don't have a previous period to go on, I have no idea when I can expect AF and when to consider myself late.

Part of me wants to test now, and part of me wants to wait. If I tested now and got a positive, I'm scared that I will not carry the pregnancy & then wish I had never known.

What do you ladies think? Do you want to know early? I guess the chances of miscarriage are the same until 12 weeks right?

I would want to know no matter what.

A couple months ago I was so sure I was pregnant and I wasn't going to test till I was late. Well AF showed up early and I almost think I had a chemical, but I will never know because I didn't test.
So its really a personal thing. I would want to some others don't.

I have never conceived so I am not speaking from experience. But I think I would want to know early so that I know I CAN conceive. Also if it's something that happened multiple times, it might point towards an issue that needs to be explored?

I don't know....maybe I'll feel differently when it actually happens!

I would prefer to wait until after AF is late, but I know that my type-A personality will not allow that to happen haha.

I want to know early. If you did have an early miscarriage, it could affect your next cycle (or cycles!) so it would be good to know. I think knowledge is power!

Early for sure. I can handle a bfn and I want to know as early as possible, especially for work.

When I read the question, I was honestly thinking to myself, why would anyone NOT want to know ASAP. I never really though about miscarriage. I would want to know as early as possible NO MATTER WHAT. I've never had a miscarriage but if I had one I'd want to know about it so like someone said, if it happens a few times, I can talk to my doctor about it.

I would want to know early BUT I'm scared to know early. I am at higher risk for chemical pregnancies and I don't know if I want to know that happened.

Thanks ladies!! I've never thought about wanting to know so you can talk to your doctor, but that's a good point. I think just for $$ sake, I am going to wait. But I am impatient now and I can totally relate with wanting to pass the time.

For me I would always want to know. Plus knowing easlier could help you prevent p roblems sometimes! :-) This cycle I have decided not to test to early and wait to see if AF will show up.....not sure whether I will stick to it though.....I am too impatient....lets see!

I would want to know early, however we don't want to spend the $$ so I wait for AF to be late. Unless I get symptoms, lol then I'd probably test early.
