DH has a skin condition that is treated using a sauna. He has been using one every day. I did some research and turns out they are bad for fertility. The effects are temporary, but I'm still concerned. He agreed to avoid the sauna during my fertile window, which helps some. What do you guys think?

Well I don't know if just avoiding them during your fertile window would be enough. I would be afraid that all of the little guys would get cooked. What if you ovulated early or later in your cycle than you anticipate?? I mean are you going to have him avoid it like 7-10 days out of the month just to make sure that his fresh sperm is fine and not cooked??

We decided last night that he is going to stay out of it completely when I am in my fertile window (7-10 days) ... he said that if I don't get pregnant within the next couple of cycles then he will probably stop completely until I'm pregnant.

It's hard to ask him to stop, because when he isn't in the sauna regularly, he breaks out in hives every time he sweats. The doctor said its only the 2nd case he's seen in 20 years.

I have a problem sort of like his, try having him
Use pure coconut oil in his shower.put it on right before he gets out
And air dry if possible.. It worked wonders for me..

It is a contact dermatitis to sweat, the layer of coconut oil helps give it a barrier..
and also moisturizes deep enough to stop the inflammation.. I was told it could be something I am eating drinking or taking as a med coming out in my sweat, when it does this the chemistry of it changes and becomes an irritant of sorts.. I can honestly say the coconut oil has helped wonders.. Coconut is a great source of healing properties in all forms..
