I am the worst at temping! I never wake up at the same time every morning and usually get up different times during the night. As a result my ff chart is so unreliable. It gave me cross hairs, but i don't necessarily trust them.
Does anyone know how much the day temps are normally different from the bbt? For example if i miss my bbt and could do math to compensate with a later temp that would be awesome.

day temps can be all over the place and totally different. If you are moving around more than your temp will be higher than if you were sitting and barely moving for the past hour. Your temps can also be lower if you just drank something cold or if it is winter or summer. There are so many things that will alter your temp during the day and even a slight change will mess up your charts. Unfortunately if you wake up a lot during the night especially if you get out of bed this can mess up your charts also. If it is too confusing for you than consider skipping the charting. If you are getting positive ovulation tests every month than chances are pretty good that you are ovulating.
I just started BBT this cycle, have only done it a few times. My son still wakes up through the night so I too find it hard. I set my phone alarm for 6:30am. When it goes off, I move just enough to turn it off and grab my thermometer and then take my temp. I don't write it till morning though (it saves the last temp so this is easy.) But sometimes the baby wakes up at 4 or 5 or 6 (or all three) and I know my temp isn't correct so I don't count it if I was moving a lot.
