I had my cd 3 blood work done on Monday and I am really anxious to get my results , I am 37 and I know time is not on my side.So I called my Ob office this morning and my results are in but the Dr has not seen my results yet and she is in the OR all day, so they told me to call my family Dr for the results which I did and they do not want to give me the results because she is not the one who ordered the test and is not sure what they are looking for..can you say that this is really stressing me out , I have been crying all morning, I just need to know the results!

Awww don't stress yet!!!! I understand wanting to know - I'm like that anytime I get a test done. I want to know immediately! But don't work yourself up when you don't even know the results yet. Everything could be great and if there are some levels that aren't optimal, at least you will know, and it will inform your next move. I'm a big fan of knowing as much as I can about my body because then I'm not shooting (stabbing??? i don't know how the saying goes...) in the dark. Do everything you can to keep yourself relaxed and calm until you hear from your dr.

Sorry that would drive me crazy also! In fact I have avoided getting checked out for fear of what the results might be. But don't worry your not running out of time just yet. It is good you are taking steps now because you still have time to correct things if you need to.

I would think your Family Doctor could just give you the results without giving an opinion about them. I would call back and insist you get your results but tell them that you will call the O.B. back for their opinion of the results. Or call the O.B. office back and insist that someone else give you the results. They must have more than one doctor or a nurse there who can give you the results. You paid for the service and they are your results that you have a right to. I hate how the doctors could care less about how hard it is for patients to wait for their results and they just put it on their back burner getting around to it whenever convient for them.

Nicole, unfortunately here in Canada things are different most Dr offices do not have a nurse especially in the small little town I live in it is unheard off to have a nurse they just have a secretary(in the bigger cities they do have nurses who work in the office) and our healthcare is government funded so we do not pay for our health care which I can say I am very grateful for, when I called my Ob office the secretary said the Dr had not seen my results yet and she would not be in the office until Monday as she was in the OR today and my family Dr is on mat leave and the Dr covering her does not want to interpret the results, so I am left driving myself and everyone around me insane until Monday.

We have same problem here in America even with big medical clinics/hospitals. My mom has had to wait many times for cancer results and the doctors just poke around getting the results back to her even when they had the results back for a day or two.

I hope they will make you a first priority Monday morning. I would be calling them the minute they open!

Waiting sucks, but can I ask what type of test it is? I can't figure out what they would be testing your blood for at CD 3??
