I posted this under another category , but not getting responses.

I use OPKs
Ovulation calendars (apps)
TTC every other day during fertile week and on the big O and day after.
I exercise 3 times a week (gonna start doing more) 30 min each time.
I'm active during the day(nanny- no time to not be active : ). )
Eat healthy at home( done with fast food)

Husband : can't get him to work out. 1 walk a week isn't gonna do anything. : (
He does good eating during the day.
Has diabetes
Suppose to be keeping blood sugar down(working out would help )
Has had a seamen test. Sperm count is good.

We have been TTC since Jan. 2012. About 5 of those mnths one of us was sick or had a family thing and didn't TTC that hard.
: (

do you have sex only during supposed ovulation & fertile time or do you do an EOD routine for the whole month? Sometimes we don't ovulate when we think we did, and if you only shoot for your fertile window you may miss your chance. I ovulated about 1 week late with my daughter who is now 3. that's how I got pregnant, we weren't trying for her and avoided my fertile window, only to nail ovulation because it was overdue lol.

diabetes can also really affect fertility, although i'm not sure how that works if his sperm count is good.

do you have fertile CM? maybe you could try supplements to increase the fertility and quantity of your CM or try pre seed?

Im so sorry that you still have not conceived. That must be very hard. Even though you are very healthy you should still get yourself checked out. Sometimes there are problems that have nothing to do with your lifestyle habits. You could have an underlying condition you don't know about like thyroid issue or something. Or an anatomical issue that you were born with. If anything get checked out for peace of mind.

I am an extremely healthy person. I have an extremely healthy whole food organic diet, take supplements, use as many natural products as possible, lots of sleep and regular exercise. I am 30 years old and having badly delayed ovulation and even possible lack of ovulation. So I need to go get checked out. So health does not make everything perfect. If I was TTC for over a year I would definitely go get checked out. In fact it is recommended to get checked out after trying for a year. If something is wrong most things as easily corrected and if something is wrong you don't want to waste another your TTC in vain.

Sorry left out a few things.
I use pre-seed and soft cups. Also have fertility vitamins and fertile cm. Husband has pills as well. I just have a hard time getting him to take them. He will if I hand them to him. Ill just do that this month. We mostly TTC during fertile week. This month guess we need to from time period ends to when its due next mnth.

Ill find a obgyn and get check out after period is over.

You really need to see a Dr if you are using preseed and cups. Something is up.

When is the last time your DH was checked. Sounds like he has a lot of risk factors for reduced male fertility. If he is still ok than I would get yourself checked out. You really never know.

Not sure of your age but if you are 35 or over it can take longer to conceive and also a higher chance of problems so you should see a doctor after trying for a year. For women under 35 I think it is around 85% will be pregnant within a year. 35-39 about 70% within a year and 40-42 is 50 % in a year. Hopefully you will be able to conceive soon and not have to worry about this all.

Not saying your old because I am 30 but could also just be an age thing. Fact is we're not as fertile as our teens or 20's. I can definitely tell a difference in my fertility compared to even 5 years ago. I have about half the cervix mucus and my cycles are not regular like before. Or you could have an unknown issue. Not all issues have symptoms. Sounds like your DH is fine since he was checked just a month ago.

i agree perhaps its time for you to get checked. and i would have sex every other day no matter what. this cycle i though perhaps i had a BFP due to a very faint line, but i made sure we still had sex that night and every other night after because what if i was wrong about when i ovulated like i was the first time? sometimes i dont feel like having sex but i always remind myself its not worth missing the whole month over just the fact that im tired that night. good luck!!

Good luck with the OBGYN! It took me a long time to conceive my first child. It took 1 year to get pregnant, lost it, and then another solid year to get pregnant again. After I had her, I went on to be pregnant 8 more times in 4 years! Over one of those years was spent pregnant. 3 different pregnancies, 1 was a keeper.

Had 2 miscarriages when she was 1.
Had 1 when she was 2.
Had 1 when she was 3.
Had her sister just after she turned 4.
Had 2 more while she was 4!
Got pregnant a day before she turned 5.

Some people just take forever to get that first child, then they are suddenly quite adept at getting knocked up. I have one friend that tried for 10 years. Got pregnant and went on to have 3 babies in 3 years.

Reminds me of the story behind my conception! After trying many years my mother had to take fertility meds to ovulate and conceive my sister. After my sister's birth my mom assumed she would not be able to get pregnant without assistance and therefor did not use birth control. Turns out her lack of ovulation was cured after pregnancy and guess who was conceived by surprise a few months later. Yep me!

Sometimes, taking too many supplements is the problem or taking too many medications. We were TTC for 11 months before we got our bfp. I o'ed on CD25. Our bodies don't always do what they're supposed to do when we want them to. I'd suggest bd'ing every other day from CD1 to the next AF day. You never know, you could be missing o day entirely. Also, the days leading up to O are a lot better for trying to conceive than o day itself. Sometimes the boys need to be there early as opposed to on time. Good luck to you and lots of dust!
