I'm going to be honest, your doctor probably won't do anything until you have been ttc for at least a year. They say it takes the healthy couple up to a year to ttc. I know it's hard but I would wait a while. I have been ttc for almost two years but I have pcos and my obgyn didn't do give me anything to help until the year mark.
I'm coming up on my well woman exam too but hopefully she will tell me that my body is functioning properly. I don't want fertility drugs just to know that nothing is wrong. I am over weight and I'm sure that affects things but I'm the same size I was when I conceived my son.
I don't think it would hurt to ask...I have type I (juvenile) diabetes and want to be done having children sooner rather than later because now I am in the best shape. If it takes us longer than 6 months I'm going to go to my doc and talk to her. I'll lie and say it's a year if I have to...women over 35 are supposed to go in after 6 months and I consider myself in a similar situation because the older I get the more difficult pregnancy could be on my body.
I'm 34 and my birthday is in December so my clock is ticking. It's scares me to take fertility drugs though because of my age and the chance of having multiples. I would be ok with twins but anymore than that I don't know what I would do.
