Has anyone used Soy Iso? How do you prefer to take it?

My doc said I can try (if my friggin period ever comes back!) but she doesn't think it will do much...I read online that you shouldn't take it if you have thyroid issues...I have Hashimoto's (hypothyroid). Levels are currently normal and the doc knows I have this but it still makes me nervous...she didn't seem like she knew much about taking soy iso for conception (here it is marketed as something for menopausal women). Any insight?

I took it CD 3-7 with dosage 80, 80, 160, 200, 200. Funny your doctor said that as I've heard 2 doctors I see here that agree it works as a natural Clomid and said it really does help excel chances in a healthy couple. I don't know anything about taking it with thyroid problems though so no help there sorry. DH and I did that as well as SMEP. I'm currently 10 dpo so can't say yet if it worked or not yet. FX!!

I am taking it. I have heard really good things about it.
I also have hypothyroid, and Dr told me to take it
12 hours before meds for thyroid. So I take soy at night
And synthroid in the morning.. you take soy on CD days
1-5 ( produces more follies, but they aren't as mature)
2-6 (more follies, more mature)
3-7 ( 1-2 mature follies)
4-8 (1 possibly 2 mature follies)
5-9 (1 super follie)
I stager my dose. On the first day
I did 80mg, second day 120mg, third day 160mg
Fourth and fifth days 200mg.. they say not to go
Over 200mg, and not to take it more then five
Days at a time.. you are to O 5-9 days after last
Dose. I temp and do opk to make sure.. you may want
To take 2000-3000 mg of evening primrose oil CD 1
Through confirmed O, for your cm, as soy tends to dry you
Up.. any questions pm me.. and good luck...

Thanks so much guys!

Good to hear someone else with hypo thyroid has taken it!

Not sure why my doc was skeptical..I don't think Germans generally take Soy Iso for this..I tried looking on some German ttc forums and the most I could find was ppl saying that "Americans and Brits take Soy iso, has anyone tried it? "

Tigg, What days do you take it?

And how much EPO do you take?

My RE seems to think it is a great alternative to medication if someone wants to try something natural. I have taken it and gotten lucky in April but it did end in early miscarriage I am a big supporter of it just do not go over the 200mg limit

I just finished my last dose of soy last night, I'm currently on cd8 and I took it 3-7 and I took 80 mg the first two days and the last three I took 160 mg. I also have hypothyroid and pcos, and I have heard that as long as you aren't taking it any longer then five days, and you are keeping your levels at a normal range you should be fine.
