Do you believe in them?

FOR BTDT moms, were any correct for your children/current pregnancy?

I was reading online about a new one called the eyelid test and checked to see if I had a "V" or "Y" under my bottom eye lid and I have a very distinct one under my right eye. It is used as a gender predictor but I have read some posts were women check for it in their 2WW to see if they are pregnant or not. I have a trigger of HCG in my system so it could just be a HCG induced thing, really that I am pregnant, or because my eye has it in general. I have never checked before so have no idea or not...but it as fun to see Anything to make the 2WW a bit more interesting lol

Any of our grads done the eyelid test?

I know there are a ton of OWT but this one I found to be interesting

I have never heard of the eyelid test.

I'm not sure. They say heartburn causes hair. It could be true. I had killer heartburn all 3 times, never had a baldy. However my oldest caused me to have GERD.

Never heard the eyelid test!

Chinese gender predicted girl for me (and it was right).

They say morning sickness is bad with girls but mine was pretty mild and I felt great until the very end of the pregnancy (well, except for trying to manage my diabetes but that is a different story!).

The pee in the cup OWT was right for me...

The acne one was wrong...they say you develop acne with a girl.

I never once had heartburn...she wasn't bald but she didn't have much hair either.

Hmmm can't think of any others that I tried right now! They are pretty fun though

I've never heard of the eyelid test and it's creeping me out just thinking about flipping my lids back to look

I've heard that girls make you look and feel horrible (i.e. swelling of the face, morning sickness) but I had clear skin and barely any nausea with DD. I did swell up in the face though. I've noticed this with my cousins as well - when they were PG with their girls their faces looked different. When they had their boys, they looked beautiful and glowing.

I've also heard that if you're craving fruits, it's a girl (true for me).

The Chinese Gender calendar predicted a girl for me and it was right.

I haven't heard of that one. The heartburn=hair thing was definitely true for me especially with my oldest.

I love old wives tales. I think they are some of the most off-the-wall things I have ever heard, but they fascinate me to no end. I cannot wait to see if any are true once we conceive.

My grandma always tries to tell me that if you wear socks while BD then it will be a boy or if you put a pink ribbon under your pillow it will be a girl.

Of course, I didn't even know there was a thing known as swaying and came across it while looking at old wives tales. I dont know how much I believe in it just yet or if it is just a bunch of hoopla, but I cant stop reading about it!

With DD, I never had heartburn and she had quite a bit of hair when she was born. I was pretty sick throughout the pregnancy and my face did look "fuller". We did the ring test before finding out gender and it said it was a girl, so that one I tend to believe.

We don't plan on finding out the gender so I'm hoping to do all the gender predictor ones with the women in my family to see of they all say the same and turn out to be right or wrong!

The heartburn = hair thing was not true for me...DS had a ton of hair and I never once had heartburn. I was team green, and I only had salty cravings, but I am salty-type snacker to begin with so not sure if that was just my natural tendencies coming through. Chinese Gender predicted girl and was wrong.

I think they're fun but I don't have a lot of faith in them. The Chinese gender predictor was wrong for me. I conceived Teddy around my birthday but no matter what age I put in Teddy, according to them, was a girl and he's not. .

It was 8 years ago but this is what I remember from the link:

-The heartburn was right for me. I had very little and my son was a little baldy.
-The linea nigra was wrong for me. It only runs from my belly button to my pubic area and I had boy. Actually it faded away until very recently...Hmmm...
-Anyway, the morning sickness was right for me. I had very little sickness and only physically got sick a few times the whole pregnancy.
-The leg hair was wrong. I rarely had to shave when pregnant.
-Also didn't get acne which was right.

I had major heartburn with both my kids (was on meds to control it) and they were both extremely bald.

I ate and craved fruits with both girls and had little to no symptoms at all.

This baby lots of symptoms, and craving carbs.

Chinease calendar was wrong with my last baby, and this time it says I'll have another girl. We will see in about 4 months if it's true.

Never heard of the eyelid test.

I had zero acne with my girl pregnancy but this time my face has been awful since 5 dpo.
