Had Mirena taken out about 3 weeks ago now because we decided to try for baby #2. Had a little nausea and heartburn for a couple days, lower back pain, sore boobs and everyone told me it was just from the Mirena being removed and the progesterone being gone. I never had any bleeding after it was removed, and I haven't started a period, but I guess that's normal too.
But today we did BD, and I randomly started lactating. No idea what to think about that at all. Poor DH was in shock. I mean, I know it is still too early to really be seeing a drastic increase in breast milk production, but it just seems so odd that it would happen out of nowhere without anything to cause it.
But every peestick comes back negative. And I know it's only been 3 weeks since the Mirena removal, so I shouldn't be expecting any miracles so soon. On the other hand, I have had the Mirena for 3 years and my cycle has always been crazy so I can't even begin to estimate what a normal cycle would be or when the right time to test would be.
Has anyone else experienced lactation as a side effect of ending Mirena?!? Am I just trying to test too soon?
