This has been my first cycle using OPK's.. and I'm trying to determine when to count 12-36 hours from. CD1 was 8/9. Today is CD14. I usually have a shorter cycle but just got rid of my paragard, which seems to have made it longer. (Usual O around CD10). I had a negative CD11, negative CD 12, then VERY positive on CD13, and another today CD14. It seems to be just slightly lighter than yesterday but still darker than control. So what does it mean to have two positives, 26 hours apart? Is the surge trailing off now? The darkest positive was 10 AM on CD 13. I'm confused! I'll upload pictures to an external site and link them in a minute

you would usually O anywhere from 24-48 hours after first +OPK. I say keep BD until you see a temp change and if you don't temp keep BDing till at least Sunday Monday Good Luck

I definitely forgot to post the link to my OPK progression photo.. They are all labeled except the last one which was 14dpo at 5pm. I am TTC a girl and everything I read says to stop BD as soon as you get a +OPK, so I stopped after CD13 in the PM, 12 hours after the 1st positive. I had 2 positives then tested again to make sure it went back negative. I read about people getting + for several days and couldn't pinpoint O.. so I was paranoid lol.

CD13-14 are def both positive. It would just be hard to pin point when you O'd unless you temp

with TTC once you get a positive, you will O 12-36 hours later,
so if you are trying to m#ke a baby you need to bd for three days following
the positive, this would be your most fertile time...

So I guess that would be 12-36 hours after the first positive? I think that's probably accurate for me since EWCM is gone today.. Some things I read said not to test after the first positive, some said keep testing until you get a negative and go based off the LAST positive to count 12-36 hours. I was expecting O to be on Sunday so we BD all days but one from last Tuesday to this Tuesday. Hopefully we still caught it in time! I believe I should have O'd between Tuesday and Wednesday evening, which falls in line with my OPK's.. This is all so confusing lol. I did temp a few times, every other day and yesterday (I admit that I really suck at remembering to in the morning) but based on that I can sort of see a pattern with a dip yesterday.

I have seen multiple women get +OPK's but don't O at all or will get another +OPK later on in the cycle then O so +OPK's don't always confirm O that's why its best to temp however with the EWCM hopefully you already O'd and with the BD pattern you have looks like you have a great chance

Good to know! I read something that said some OPK's can also predict estradiol or something else that spikes around the same time as LH surge so it can show positive even when there is no ovulation. I've always had a fairly regular cycle and can tell when it's O time because I get crampy and EWCM.. since this is my first cycle without IUD it was a little different so I guess now I just wait!
