Thank you ladies! Feeling a little better today...only two more days of Clomid and then I'm done....I also just found out my hubby and I will be on a weekend away from the kiddos the same days as my peak fertile days...FX this is our month!
I'd agree with starting on CD 9 but I'm no expert.
This is my first month using OPK and I had planned on starting testing today (I read that with a 28 day cycle start on cd12, etc. etc.), thinking I'd O on the weekend, but I decided what the heck and started Monday. Glad I started early because I got a positive yesterday. I could I have totally missed the window because I was blowing off the discharge, cramping, etc. on the residual effects of having a cold over the weekend.
It was also hilarious when I came in to look at the test. Being an OPK noob I had first thought to myself "Oh no the test in bunk I have TWO control lines!!". haha!
Since I'm a POSA I did an OPK today..lol interestingly the line was darker than I was expecting, definitely not positive (no smiley face) but relatively dark.. it was last cycle too..I think I might have just a high LH level throughout my cycle.....I also stepped on the scale and I'm down 6 lbs from 4 weeks ago, so that made my day! How is everyone else doing?
I'm doing good, thankful that I work five of the next 7 days so it will keep me busy...
I started acupuncture this week, and so far I like it and am looking forward to doing it weekly as a way to relax and have me time...
I am currently on CD 13 and FF will give me crosshairs tomorrow if my temp stays up. Did not get a blaring positive on my OPK but may have missed it before testing more than once a day.. started testing more than once CD 11.. so I guess the next few days will prove to show me if I did or not. OPKs have proved to hate me..
I do not know how to feel being that I have 38-40 day cycles. I was thinking I was Oing later in the month which is why maybe our 2 years of NTNP was not successful.
Okay ladies..ready for input I tested out my Clear blue Advanced Digital on day 7, 8 to get a baseline reading....then I decided I was going to really start testing on cd10, today and bam, there was a smiley face.... I used first morning urine like it said to do and then I did it again with 2nd morning urine, another smiley face....hmmmm.... I know last cycle whenever I used my cheapie OPK it was always darker in the morning than the afternoon, but never positive until I actually got my surge later in my cycle. When I took the stick out of the Clearblue reader the control line was still way darker than the test line..doesn't look anything near a positive reading(compared to my last cycle using digital OPK's) I also took Clomid this cycle, so that could be affecting it...but here's what I think.....I think first morning readings on any OPK can give a false positive...(in june I also used FMU on CD9 and got a smiley face but my line was way lighter than the control, but my last cycle I surged on CD15,16 and on day cd16 my test line was a lot darker than the control line )....I'm going to just keep testing and see if I get the blinking and then smiley later this week...I was thinking if I do O it would be around that same CD 15,16 mark this time...but who knows I guess...... Do you think I should just be using afternoon urine like all the other OPKs?
im doing okay! I am 5dpo (even though FF thinks im 6) and just not really feeling very positive about this month. the only reason i feel negative about it is that my bbs havent started to hurt yet! i think they usually do after i O. last month they didnt and i wasnt pregnant, so I just keep telling myself itll turn out the same this month (even though i know i could still be pregnant without my bbs hurting as part of my PMS). if that makes any sense. i think my miscarriage changed my PMS symptoms, ive heard that its pretty common. I have been pretty chill up till now about it... and now im feeling antsy and sad because im sure no sore bbs = BFN.
Ill try not to!! although i did email my dr. to ask him if he thought a progesterone draw was a bad idea! i just want to be sure i guess and they say a progesterone draw should be done at 7dpo, which would be friday.....
