I posted this on the Fertility Charting board too but haven't yet received a response so maybe someone here will know?

Do you count spotting or actual flow as CD1?

I count actual flow as CD1, the first day that I see red blood.

I've heard both. I've heard that when it's enough for a pad or tampon then that's cd 1. Then I've also heard that it doesn't matter. I'm not a spotter so someone that is will be of help!

I dont count it as CD1 until its is there steadily when I wipe. If its kust a little brown or pink once or twice through day then no I just mark it as spotting. I hope that helps !
