I have an appointment with one next week (due to a tentative diagnosis of PCOS) and I have no idea what to expect. I was frustrated to learn that I don't ovulate on my own; I feel just kinda broken. Every month I have to wade through appointments, tests, and the like is another month wasted. Sigh.

I have been to one. My first appointment was just a consult pretty much to find out what we wanted to get out of seeing the specialist and medical history. Then after that initial appointment, we went forward with blood tests, hsg, ultrasounds and eventually IUI. I am glad that I went to one. Hopefully you get all you questions answered. Good luck!
