I've been using First Response OPK's, and have been using FMU. I've learned SMU is better, oops!
Anyways, is it possible to miss the surge if you use FMU? I had super dark almost positives the last two days with FMU, with lighter lines later in the day both days. Is it possible that I would have had a clear positive later in the morning and I missed it?
It is possible that you have missed it, also, are you testing 1 or 2 times a day? They say 2x is better. once around like 10am and again at like 2-3pm. Last cycle when I used the first response OPKs I only tested once a day and missed my surge, so it is definitely possible.

yes you could have if you surge not long after you last tester the day b4 then would been pos over night, I nearly missed mine this cycle, I test 2 hour early than I always do on time, I had a bfp for at 12pm and was neg by 4pm so thinking I got the end of the surge.
