i just started IUI round 2, took Femara days 3-7 and had spotting on CD10 (??) and then i had my mid-cycle ultrasound this morning at CD11. I have a 20mm follicle on the left and a 14mm one on the right. No apparent cause for the spotting, all seems ok in there. Lining was at 10.5 i think? I have to wait for the dr to call but the trigger will prob be tonight and iui Sunday.

and just to recap, the first IUI, i got a fever about 18 hours after, with terrible cramping. the cramping didnt last very long but the fever lasted for nearly 48 hours. I was given all sorts of tests to see if it was an infection but everything was negative. they gave me antibiotics anyway, just in case, but they told me it was likely a reaction to the prostaglandins in the sperm. SOOO i am REALLY hoping that I dont get the fever again, but if i do at least this time Ill be expecting it.

wish us luck!

Good luck! Our doctor just suggested to us doing an IUI, I'd be interested to hear how it all works....our insurance doesn't cover anything with infertility, so we would have to pay out of pocket....any idea how much it costs?

last time we paid for the IUI/wash upfront (cuz i had a separate infertility deductible), and it was $478. that didnt include the mid cycle ultrasound but that was probably mostly covered under my insurance, but i havent gotten the bill yet. its actually a pretty easy process, and im not nervous at all this time around. I took femara days 3-7, they ordered me a trigger shot (had to get it delivered from a specialty pharmacy but that was super easy too!), the mid-cycle ultrasound was today on CD11, and the dr is going to call me with when i should trigger and schedule the IUI for. ill prob be told to trigger tonight with IUI sunday morning. then you go in for the IUI, Dh has a little earlier appt to give his sample, then you wait for your appt while they wash the sperm. then you go in and the dr puts in up in there (which is like 5 seconds), and then you're done!

well the IUI was done yesterday morning! they were an hour late for our appointment which was SOOO irritating but DH's count was good at 25 million/75% moving forward. timing was good, I ovulated about 2 hours before the procedure! AND best of all, no fever so far. yay!!! now for the 2ww. ahh!
