Hi ladies! I was MIA for a few days. Basically as I have lightly mentioned, I have been having some medical issues that no doctor could say what was wrong. I have a multitude of symptoms that come and go and change. This has been for over a year, but most docs say I am fine and basically it's in my head. Well, I finally found out what has been going on. I have lymes disease. So, I am currently on a course of antibiotics, but I have been reading and found that since I have had issues for as long as I have, I may need some longer term treatment. I have also read some inconclusive things that I might be able to infect a baby if I got pregnant. Nothing is 100% and there are few studies to know for sure, but I am torn! I am so glad to know that I am not crazy and to be getting treatment, but I really want to TTC too. I have read some people need treatment for months to years and I don't want to wait that long. I am thinking we are going to stop trying this cycle and see how I do with these antibiotics and then I meet with a new doc more literate with lymes disease to see where I go from there. So anyway, I am a little bummed we most likely will be stopping for an indeterminate amount of time, but I'll be around to cheer everyone one!

I am about to o, and we did bd before knowing, so we shall see this cycle.

Anyone familiar with lymes and pregnancy?

I don't know anything about Lymes and pregnancy, but I know how tricky Lymes can be to diagnose....I hope you get everything figured out and fixed so you can get back to baby making

Well that just sucks. I am so sorry its lymes disease. I really hope that it won't stop you from being able to TTC. I don' know much about it but I am wishing all the best. Keep us updated on what the doctors say!

I of course went to google There really isn't much, but one naturopath says that if the mother is on antibiotics the whole pregnancy, there is a very little chance of the baby being infected or having other difficulties. One site says that having lymes could be a reason for high miscarriage rate. So I think I want to find a doc who will treat me correctly and then continue to use the antibiotics while pregnant as I don't want to spread it to a baby. I don't see my doc until end of August who I am really hoping would be open to this kind of treatment and then I can get back to trying.
