Well, I have not announced to the board yet, but I am getting married June 25th. Today, we met with the minister of the church and agreed that there will not be anymore bding before the wedding. So, this effectively puts an end to ttc if this month proves to be a bust.

We are going to do 6 sessions of 1 1/2 hours of premarital counseling (our state requires 4 hours).

So, I am sure hoping this is my month because I will hate to have to lose so much time.

Wow! Well, congratulations on the wedding! I was not aware of required premarital counseling in some states. Let's hope this month is it for you! If not, maybe you better move the wedding date up!! Lots n lots of luck to you!

did the minister make you make this pact? That would make me so mad! What happens in the bedroom should be between you and your fiance not the minister too

Well congrats on getting married that really threw me for a loop!!!! I am sooo happy for you.

As far as the having to do the classes.... you don't HAVE to take them but you just have to pay more for the Marriage Certificate it is like $95 without the class and about $50 with the class. When me and DH got married in November we just went to the court house and paid the $95 and got married there. I Am so happy for you congrats. Let me know if you need anything.

Congrats on getting married!

We had to go through that whole pre-marital counseling too! We are Catholic, and we were not trying to conceive so it was not an issue. BUT it may make more sense to wait to get through all the wedding stuff too! I wish you tons of babydust and best wishes for a happy life together!

No, the minister did not make us make a pact! He said that it is an intergity between us and God. He said that we cannot go into a marriage with Christ as a focus point and in the will of God if what we have been doing is not. And I agree.

I know that I don't HAVE too, but if I want to be married in our church I HAVE too. We were initially going to go to the courthouse, but his father is a minister. It will create tons of problems if we are not married IN the Church.

Congrats!!!!

I also didnt have to have prematial counseling, and my marriage licsence only cost $30. But I think prematial counseling is a good idea. I also respect your decision on waiting till you get married before cont'ing on TTC..God will Bless you, for putting him first!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!! and good luck with TTC!

When my DH & I got married we didn't have to do any counselling....then again we were married in one of the chapels at city hall.

WOW! Congratulations! Are you going to have a big wedding or a small intimate one?? I went for the small one with immediate family only. We got married at a beautiful Victorian Bed and Breakfast. You sure do keep us on our toes (LOL)! Even though TTC is on hold for a while, hang out here and keep us posted on all the fun plans!
Cheerfully,
Alisha

Congrats on getting married!!! That must be so exciting! I really hope that this is your month so that you don't have to put TTC on hold - I can't imagine how hard that would be. I am really happy for you and wish you all the best. Hopefully the next good news from you will be that you got your BFP!
