I'm having surgery tomorrow and will be given 500mg to fight off any infection..
can you still get preggo while on antibiotcs? i'm having this right before O time!!!
Tonight is my last dose of Clomid, can the antibitocs cancel out the effects of the clomid as well???

of all stinking times to schedule surgery..

Oh YEAH! My friend was on birth control and had to take antibiotics for an infection, and she got pregnant, even on birth control (some antibi. don't mix well with BC)!! So I think you can still get preggo!! GOOD LUCK on your surgery and hope you recover soon!! KEEP BDing and catch that eggie!!!!!!

yes you can. As a matter of fact, if you are on BCP it can lower the effectivness of it.

When in doubt just make sure you BD!!!!! You can still get preggo while on antibiotics!!! Good luck on your surgery...try and take it easy!!!

Yes you can, and if the antibiotics are penecillin based - you may notice a substantial increase in your cervical mucus (penecillin is a mucus enhancer).

did you ask the surgen if he could give you pregnancy safe ones? I did that and then he decided not to give me any whatsoever. I was fine-no infections.
