I know this is a dumb question, but i just need to clarify!
If AF arrives (whenever she decides to!!) that means that you definately o'd that cycle, right? (or is that wrong?)

If af is late, that means you o'd later than usual? is that right too?

Melissa,
no dumb questions here, hon. We all need clarification sometimes

If AF comes, o may or may not have occurred. Sometimes the uterine wall builds up due to the release of estrogen. But if no egg is released, it eventually breaks down, leading to menstrual flow.
(This is what happens on the pill, but can occur in natural cases for other reasons).

If AF is late, it usually means you o'd late (if you o'd at all)

Good luck!

I don't think you have to O to get AF. I have gone cycles with no O and eventually got AF.

It sucks.

No, you do not have to "O" to have AF. I don't "O" and that's why I'm on clomid...to trick my body into "O"ing.

I've read (and it could have been wrong) that the time between ovulation and AF is almost always 14 days; no matter who the woman is.

Apparently, it is the time leading up to ovulation that varies drastically woman to woman.

For what it's worth .. could be complete baloney.

I think the average luteal phase for women is 14 days (days between O and AF) but that every woman is different and it can range from 10-14 days...

Not necessarily. I didn't O last month which was confirmed by a blood test and AF came to visit me on cd26.

Yes, typically when you o your luteal phase is between 12 and 14 days, so if AF's late by a few days it could mean either you didn't o or you o'd later in your cycle.

Never a dumb question!!
