Well, I went and was all excited that finally something was going to be done about the way I spot 9 days or more before AF arrives. I never start spotting until after ovulation.
As some of you may know I had called the doctor a couple of weeks ago asking if she felt that I needed to come in and they called me back that evening informing me that No the spotting that I am having is not normal and that I should come in because they wanted to run more labs on me. So the next day I schedule the appointment and have waited 2 weeks very patiently to get in to see her.
Well I arrived yesterday with 3 months worth of charts in my hand, figuring that finally a doctor is actually going to see what the problem is. I have done this for about 2 years.
Anyway, after waiting an hour to finally get back to see the doctor, she comes in and I hand her my charts. First off, she acted as if she had never seen a chart before, so I explained everything to her with Ovulation, what everything meant, CP, CM an all that and how I document everything. She barely even looks at my chart, and looks up at me and says "well, we can put you on birth control pills"
I was shocked since she knew that we are soon going to TTC. I have been off birth control pills for almost 3 years and will NEVER go back on them. They made me so sick all the time. Anyway, she thought about it and said "well, since you are going to start trying in January, maybe that wouldn't be so great"
So then she brings up the issue with provera. I have been on provera before..and let me just say that my cycle is regular..always has been..generally 28 days, give or take 1 day. Last time the doctor put me on provera I didn't have a period for over 2 months and I was miserable. I explained to her all of that, which I have explained before...and the first time I visited her she told me that she had no idea why he would of stuck me on provera with me being so regular.
She said that as long as I am ovulating not to worry about it and that was it. She didn't check me, she didn't run any labs..nothing.
I went out and called DH and was almost in tears. Now I am worried because she said that it wasn't normal to be spotting like that, however she didn't check me..she just wanted to throw birth control at me. I even lucked up..yesterday I was 4 DPO, so even if they wanted to check certain things at that level, it would of been perfect timing...
