I have checked my cervix a few times in the past but did not really get in to. I thought I would check today to see what it feels like and it is .. well hard to describe. I would have to say very soft.. almost mushy like, and when I push up it seems like it is hard to get there.. as in it feels so puffy.
What does this mean? Could it be a good sign?
I asked in another post if being soft meant AF was coming and someone said she is usually hard when af is about to arrive.
Oh and I even asked dh if that is how it usually feels and he said "I don't know" and he seemed embarrassed.
From experience from myself and from what I understand... your cervix gets soft when you ovulate or are about to ovulate or later on in pregnancy. but I could be wrong I am kind of new at it. BEWARE TMI COMING: I am on cd 5 and spotting but I got curious and checked my cervix this morning in the shower and a couple days ago on like cd 3 today it was like medium..kind of firm but not nearly as firm as it was on cd 3. cd 3 was lie Reallly firm...so I think from what I gathered it starts off really low and firm...and the closer you get to ovulation the higher and softer it gets..then after ovulation it goes back to the low and firm..unless your pregnant then it goes to soft and closed I think. anyway thats how I understand it. Good luck! hope it helps
