Well I went in on Tuesday March 20 as many of you know and has the proteglanden (sp?) put in next to my cervix. I started having contractions about an hour after they put it in, they were coming about 3-5 minutes apart but they werent very strong so they let me go home. When I went in on Wednesday I was still having the contractions 3-5 min apart so they gave me the enema and got me hooked up to the pitocin and the fluid along with some antibiotics for the GBS. They DR came in about 15 minutes later to check me and break my water but when he did my cervix hadnt changed at all so he told me that we could keep the pitocin going but he really didnt think I was going to be able to dilate on my own and he thought c-section was the best way to go. I agreed and knew it would be a lot less stressful on the baby so my c-section was set for 1:00 p.m. that day. At that point it was just my mom and my husband with me but shortly after my SIL, MIL, and FIL showed up along with DH's grandma and later on DH's aunt and my best friend. They came in about 11 and told me I would be getting an epidural not a spinal, they said the DR putting it in did epi's that were as good as anybody's spinal. That did worry me a little but I knew it was somthing they did all the time. They came in and did the epi about 2:00, we did lots of waiting lol I was relieve that it was really painless and no where even close to what I expected. I ended up going into the OR about 3:30. They got everything set up and right as they started cutting DH came into the room, the look on his face was priceless lol It was a very wierd feeling to say the least lol From the time they started cutting it took them 3 minutes to get her out and I started balling when I first heard her voice and DH of course went straight to her. He brought her over to me crying, it was such an amazing moment. Mahayla was born at 3:47 p.m. weighing 7lbs 11oz with a head full of dark brown hair and big blue eyes. She looks so much like her daddy and he is so proud! Pics are in my siggie!

Sounded like a painful and yet smooth delivery.

Were you swollen from the Pitocin the next day?

She's so cute.
