I realize it's probably easier to get a false positive on a hpt rather than a false negative on a blood test but I really *feel* pregnant. I'm so confused. At the end of my cycle I had incredibly light light light menstruation. I used only the junior/ lite tampons if that. I didn't even think I was pregnant until I vomited one evening. Now, I haven't done that since middle school. The next morning I thought it was best to take a hpt. Sure enough it came back positive. It was easy to read too. A week goes by and I go in to take a blood test. I've had mild cramping on and off everyday. I've been a bit queezy. My boobs have never hurt this badly in my life. The test came back negative. What's going on? Is it remotely possible to have a negative blood test? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
First of all, I'm so sorry you're having such a confusing time. May I ask you a few questions? What kind of HPT did you take? Do you know what kind of blood test you had? Was it the one which gives you a number to tell you your HCG levels or a yes/no test? When would you expect your next period if you weren't pregnant? Have you tried taking another HPT? x
I read another girl post and what had happened was they mixed up her test results with another person.. SO keep taking HPT's and if they still come pos then I would go get another blood test done.. Keep your head up..
