I love FRER and CBE digital. That is usually the only two brands I buy.

I'd have to say loyalty. Not all named brands are good and not all high prices are good. I just go with loyalty. What's always worked for me and the good experiences people have had with them.

I usually buy all my cheapies from the same Ebay seller since I had that bad batch of OPKs a few months ago and also experiences with dodgy or hard to read OPKs elsewhere. But to back up I will always use a FRER or better yet a clearblue digi.

I am a big fan of $tree tests. I know a lot of people don't like them but to me they are very clear as to when I am and am not pregnant. I also like the $tree OPKs. I am now a BIG fan of Answer tests b/c they are half the price of FRER and basically the same test. Also if I get pregnant again I have some CBE Digis ready to use...though the FRER digi result lasts a week while the CBE lasts a day...so its all up to you!!

I try to go with what is reliable and what is more affordable!!

I am also an FRER and CBE digi girl. I use ICs only when testing out a trigger shot. I don't care about price...I want accurate results!
