It's not unusual to have some irregular bleeding and strange symptoms while your body sorts itself out after being on the Loestrin - even if the first few cycles were mostly normal. It's a big adjustment for your body now that the synthetic hormones are working their way out of your system. Hang in there, it won't last forever.
Saw the doc today - all he did was a urine test..said a blood test is the same thing. =[ He said do another test in two weeks.
I don't agree..so I may just go to the ER..i'm having severe abdominal cramps today..still haven't started AF..they'll do blood tests, etc @ the hospital. I'm just gonna go..probably after I get off work.
Why does this have to happen to me? I'm so frustrated.
Either the ER or go see another DR> I would not have taken NO as an answer. Either way, CHANGE doctors. That one sounds like he just didnt want to make time for it...because blood tests are much more thorough!! I am sorry you had a crummy DR!!! KUP!!!
Did you happen to go to the navy hospital? ;P lol that's all I got from them until I got my own insurance and doc! Blood and Urine are NOT the same. Blood, depending on the exact test, is much more accurate.
I also want to add that before I went on the pill, my periods were SO irregular. I went on and they were like clockwork, up until 3 months after I got off the pill. After those three months they are totally wacky-see ticker below! I am 2 months late now, and tested negative like 2 weeks ago, so I doubt I am. I am waiting out since I only have 1 test left. Were you regular while on the pill? I would really talk everything out with your gyno, tell him/her your concerns and everything you can about your past. Details really help! I hope you get some answers, and you may want to ask them to check your hormones-FSH, LH, TTN, and TSH. There are some others they can test, but if you don't have many fertility concerns they aren't very necessary. A lot of times it takes a few months to get back into the swing of your normal cycle. Keep us posted on what happens at the doc!
I'm really sorry that you're having such a frustrating time right now ((((((hugs)))))) I think your body may still be messed up from the BCP and you've Oed really late this month. Some women find their cycles actually get progressively longer after stopping BCP as their body adjusts to natural hormones and not being regulated by the pill.
