Hi
If I'm 7 weeks pregnant, should the hormones not be picked up in a blood test? Could they be wrong? If my hormones are low could that be the reason? In that case it could be bad for the pregnancy? I had 2 faint positives 2 weeks back and all the pregnancy symptoms? If not pregnancy, what else can make your cup size go up in 3 weeks?

If you had a blood test that came back negative and you think you are seven weeks pregnant (from having had a positive test), it could mean that you are miscarrying the pregnancy. You should call your doctor and ask for a qualitative blood test so you can find out the exact level of hCG in your system (typically doctors consider anything over 10 positive). At 7 weeks, you should have a LOT of hCG in your system.

I agree, if you got + tests...missed your period...then now got a - blood test, unfortunately you are probably about to miscarry, if you havent already started (bleeding). Im so sorry I know how tough that is to hear, but at 7 weeks your levels should be way more than enough to show up on a blood test.

I agree. At 7 weeks you should be getting a positive result on a blood test. If you are having faint positives that aren't getting darker there are several things that could be going on. What brand are you using when you test? There are a few tests that are really bad about giving evaps. They might look like bfps but they are really just bad tests.

I would go to the doctor and get a quantitative (beta) hCG done. This will tell you exactly how high your hCG levels are and I would see if they would run two of them to make sure that your levels are going up like they should.

I think you meant to say quantitative. The qualitative one just tells you if you are pregnant or not but doesn't tell you what your levels are.

Oops - sorry, you are right Patty. I meant quantitative. I wasn't paying as much attention as I should have been! Thanks.
