I am hoping someone will have an answer to why this might have happened.... I took a $tree test with FMU and after a few minutes it was a BFN. I just looked at it again a few hours later and there is a line where I could see the indent line before. It's faint and pink, but it's definitely there! Why would a BFP show up after several hours?? Has anyone else had this happen before and what was the end result? This is my first time actively TTC after three NTNP births, so I don't know if I'm just seeing things or what. Thanks ladies!

******************************
Here are a couple of pictures of the test. I know it's not advisable to read the results after a period of time, but it's impossible not to

It doesn't look like a definite line to me. More like a color spot kwim? I'm not sure really... You should count it as a BFN tho since it didn't appear until way after the time limit.

I think you're probably right. It's pretty early for me to even be testing (between 5 &9 DPO... I know I'm dumb), but I am an addict haha. Thanks for taking a look!

Well I agree that it doesn't look like a definite line, and since you are testing so early that makes it iffy also. However I will say last time I was pregnant I started testing at 9dpo on dollar store tests and there was nothing there within the first 10 minutes, but awhile later I saw very faint pinkish lines. This happened three days in a row and finally I got an Answer test and it was a BFP! So you never know...sorry for rambling. Anyway, here's a pic of when it happened to me if you want to compare. Good luck!

I am thinking I will get a BFP in a few days... After three pregnancies you'd think I know what it feels like right? I hate being so dang impatient, but I sure hope I follow in your footsteps

Is it an actual line in person? Looks like a fuzzy, bled out line on my comp.

Here are mine, the top one didn't show until 15 min later, but it was pink!! Hope this gives you hope.

Looks like the dye kind of got pooled up there.. I would try testing in a day or two on an FRER or Answer test. GL and KUP!

I'm pretty sure it was some dye transfer or something... it went away though. I have a stash of FRERs (I found 3 packs for $7.98 at walmart!) but I would rather waste $ tests this early on Thanks everyone for looking!

Haha I am definitely NOT patient. I bought two 3-packs and I think 8 $store tests and I have three of each left haha. I just like to pee on stuff I guess

I had that happen to me with dd. I tested at 7 dpo. It looked like a bfn but a few hours later it looked like yours. I have never had a $ test do this except then. I don't want to get your hopes up, but I'm gonna say I think it's the start of your BFP. Can't wait to see the next test.

I definatly see the line but a lot of those cheep tests do get evaps over time that can look like BFP's. I have had a delayed positive result with the FRER before but these ones never get evaps even after forever so if you ever get a second pink line on these you know its legit. I would try one of your First responses. That should give you your answer.

Ok, I know I am in the minority here for saying this, but I think it is positive. I know I know....rules state no reading a test after 10 minutes, BUT, I myself am a confessed POAS addict and have taken, oh, maybe, a gazillion dollar tree hpts over the past few months, and I never throw them away immediately. I hang on to them so that I can look under light, daylight, lamp light, overhead light, flashlight, you name it, and NEVER ONCE did I go back and find a PINK line of any kind. I have found a million gray lines, indent lines, and non-existent -all-in-my-head lines, but NEVER pink after the time frame. JUST SAYIN' RETEST!

THe line to me looks very pink and thick. I have heard of several people that get BFPs after the time limit and they are preg. It's usually because their HcG is just really low. I would say test again in two days...but, I wouldnt...I would use all of those 6 tests you have left in about 2 days! So I say TEST!

You girls are hilarious and I love it! I am going to have to find all those different kinds of light to look at my tests under. I never thought of looking under anything but the light in my bathroom lol. I guess I need to step up my game! And, testing again in 2 days is just out of the question... I bought a few more just so I don't have to wait hehe.

Assuming you take it during the day, hold it up in front of a window. The natural light is the best light to see the lines.

I don't know I took a dollar tree store test at 10DPO and it was negative without a doubt!
