Hello everyone. I'd really appreciate your feedback on my situation. Lemme give you the facts:
1) My cycles are often irregular (ranging from a period every 2-3 months on average)
2) I had two cycles in a row, on starting feb 10th, and my most resent starting March 10th.
3) I have sex fairly regularly, appx 1-2 a week, so I wouldn't be sure of the possible conception date.
My dilemma-- for about a week and a half I've had some possible pregnancy symptoms (Very sensitive nipples, a bit quesy, head aches, movement/discomfort in lower abs, food cravings, higher sex drive, and emotional). Most of these symptoms could also be PMS, but I typically have no PMS, and when I do, it is far less intense.
So I took a test 5 days ago and it was negative. I still have no period. This morning I took a Fertility test to see if maybe I was just ovulating. The FSH test showed the control line and a faint additional line. I'm not sure what that means (it was a sample; no instructions).
Now this morning some of my symptoms, mainly the strongest one, breast sensitivity, has lesser dramatically. I'm still quesy. Still no period. Keep in mind I'm irregular (1-3 months), and my last period started 3/10.
I'm not really TTC, but I'd welcome it if I were...but I'm afraid this is all in my head. I was pregnant once 3 years ago, but I miscarried right before my first appointment. Also, I don't want to get a blood test and waste time and money if I'm testing too early.
It's hard to say. Even with irregular cycles, you can also tell whether you're fertile or infertile on any given day by charting. Charting also tells you when you've ovulated. If ovulation is late, your period will be late - so you don't need to waste pregnancy tests if there hasn't been an egg released yet. If you have ovulated (charting can tell you), then you know when it's accurate to start testing.
I would say maybe get a blood test. You could be testing to early to know too. I am in the same boat as you so i know how crazy it makes you With my youngest daughter i missed two periods in a row before i got a positive! Everyone thought i was crazy until i showed them the 5 positives! Good luck sweetie and let us know how it goes. THose sound like some pretty good symptoms to me!
