So, I'm 2 days late. AF was due Aug 6th. This past cycle only, we used NO form of contraceptive, but we weren't exactly TTC. (Even though I would love to be pregnant!)

If I am, this will be my very first. I'm so nervous right now! Part of me really wants to be pregnant. I would loove a baby! But I'm also terrified of becoming pregnant, because I've never experienced it before. It's so nerve-wracking!

Is it normal to feel this way?

Yup very normal! I really wanted to try for a baby but as we were starting the first time I got all weird and uptight wondering if we should be trying, if we were ready. So I was kinda relieved when we didn't get pregnant. Then we took a little break and then I realized I was ready and then it was fine! Of course I experience varying feelings sometimes throughout the process but that's normal too. Sometimes I think it would be great just me and hubby and then other days I just am devastated that we don't have a baby yet! So yes, ttc brings on a bunch of emotions!

Oh, and how come you haven't tested yet? Too nervous? At this point a test will almost never lie. So you can feel quite confident with whatever results you get. Don't use a blue dye test like clearblue or OneStep etc. Answer or First Response is a good choice. Buying tests on the internet is a MUCH cheaper alternative to the storebought tests. I recomend as well as many others, using WONDFO. I buy them off of ebay.

I only ever use First Response. And you pretty much summed up the way I feel in your first post! Wow! But thankyou

Oh and I was waiting for him to get home from work because I asked him to buy one for me on his way home. And yes, NOW I am nervous to test! I know it will be okay either way, though.

you are totally normal ! Everyone has a little freak out about possibly being pregnant - even if you relaly want it. I know plenty of friends, particuarly with their second and later on in the pregnancy have a little breakdown saying i don't know why we did this, what if we can't manage 2/1 !!! So don't worry, nearly everyone gets nervous.

Make sure to KUP and tell us about that beautiful BFP!!

99% of parents get this way. I feel like not many people are truly ready when they get pregnant or a child comes. There is no way to ever feel ready enough! The exception is the TTC's who do so for a long period of time.

Thank you so much! My test came back negative but still no AF. Though, I know it's not very likely for me to be pregnant. The test would have been positive by now.

BUT, after I took it and brought it back to my boyfriend, he said "Well, it was only the first time we tried." So I guess we're trying now! Thank you everyone

I'm just ready for next month!

Just because it was negative at 2 days late doesn't count you out just yet....mine didn't show up until the evening of being 3 days late...so you never know, you still may be. Youre not out until the shows!
