Everybody here felt it but I didn't. I was at my son's OT and all three adults felt nothing. We came out and everybody was going crazy and we had no idea what was going on. I'm bummed that I missed it.
I live in VA and my work is about 50 miles from epicenter. I work in a day care and the walls and floor was shaking pretty violently that it woke some of the kids up from nap. We were terrified and lost all power and cell service for awhile. Thankfully all the kids and workers are fine! When I got home the dishwasher door had been rattled open and the dish tray had rolled out, also the fruit basket feel off the microwave.
Prob the scariest 30 seconds ever... We were like clutching each other wondering how the HELL to get 11 sleeping kids out but thankfully it stopped after 30 seconds.
I agree with the other Jess scariest 30 seconds ever. DD and I were still in bed luckily when df works nights she sleeps with me. All I could think to do was grab her and hold her tight. DF barely made it up the stairs to jump in bed with us it was shaking so bad. I had no idea what was going on until we turned on the news, I thought it was bomb aftershocks.
