Okay, in my defense I was in a hurry when I bought the test (being watched by a store employee) so I didn't realize it was a blue dye until after I opened the package. Ugh! But I took it this morning, and now I don't know what to think. I know blue dye tests are well known for evaps, but since I've never used this kind I'm not sure what an evap looks like. The second line did show up right away, but was very faint. I thought it was just a thin hair-line, but after a minute I could see the whole width of it, as thick as the 'control' line but still super faint. (Sorry, couldn't get a decent picture with my dumb camera!) Does this sound like an evap line?? I can't go back into town for a new test for a couple more days, and this is going to drive me crazy!!!

Everything I have read says that evaps appear after more than 10 minutes have passed. And they they look grey collorless or like a dent in the test not an actual line. How many DPO are you? If you are still kinda early then that can account for the really faint line. It sounds like it is a BFP though but I would still retest in a few days. Good luck!

I'm not sure how many DPO I am, it's been a strange month! Usually I'm 5 weeks fom CD1 to the next CD1, but today is 6 weeks. I guess all I can do is wait and test again in a few days if I still haven't started!

Blue dyes are tricky but the fact that it appeared right away and the fact that it is as thick as the control line is promising. Did the package only come with the one test?

Yeah it does sound like it could be a BFP, but I would try and test in a few days with a pink dye.

It came with 2 tests, so as much as I distrust these I'll take the other one tomorrow and see if it does the same thing! My last BFP was a chemical in May, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up!

If tomorrow's is the same or darker, I bet it's a real BFP. I totally understand about not getting your hopes up, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Well I made a trip into town yesterday to look for a pink dye test, but the 2 stores nearest to me are Bi-Mart and Dollar Tree and Bi-Mart only had a blue dye. So I got 5 from dollar tree, even though they're that new 'assured' brand and not New Choice. So I took one of those this morning, and it was BFN. I don't know what kind of sensitivity they have, if the Equate may have been more sensitive or if it was just another blue dye false positive! AF still hasn't showed up, and I'm on cycle day 44. I suppose time will tell!

Have you taken the second blue dye test yet?

Teresa, I didn't take the other blue dye test this morning. I got some pink dye tests from the dollar store yesterday, so i took one of those instead. It was a BFN. I think I'll go ahead and take the other blue dye tomorrow and see what it says. This $1 test wasn't the New Choice brand, but something new they're carrying now called 'Assured'. I don't know what their sensitivity is. We'll see!

Yeah, I was wondering if the $ test was less sensitive than the blue dye. So I'm eager to see what the result of the blue dye is in the morning. Good luck!

Had my youngest son throwing up last night and this morning so I completely forgot about testing! I'll try for tomorrow! (Assuming I don't get this bug too!)
