I've been on birth control for about 6 years, with an occasional break from it maybe once a year. my husband and i are "ready" for kids but just can't seem to make the decision to just finally do it.. so i usually just stay on the bc LOL. sometimes i feel like im waiting for a big sign or something. we're still young- 23 & 26 so i feel like we still have time... BUT...

my last period on bc was 12/25 (christmas.. how nice lol) after that, i forgot to put in for a refill for the next month. we mistakenly (drunkenly...) had sex this month.. i can't remember how many times or dates for the life of me. but i do know it's entirely possible for me to be pregnant.

i THINK we might of did it around the 8th or 9th and again on maybe like the 14th? but i have no idea when i could or if i even have o'd yet because i dont know really know what my body is doing not on birth control lol.. so i don't know when to even test! i took a test last week and it was negative but it could have been way too early.

i feel off, my boobs are SO sore, very emotional (which isn't out of the ordinary for me honestly) i don't feel like a period is coming on at all tho.. there's been no bleeding which usually happens when i went off bc in the past. im not even sure if my last period on 12/25 "counts" because i was on birth control..

ugh.. i guess i just have to wait and test?..

Yeah, when you first come off of the pill, it can take a while for your cycle to get back on track. If, however, you had a "normal" cycle this month, you probably would have ovulated around the 8th (give or take a couple of days). If so, you could probably get a positive result now. If you didn't ovulate until later, though, then there's no way to predict the timing. The best you could do then is take a test two weeks after the last time you had unprotected sex.

Personally, I would take a test now and if it's negative, wait until the 28th and take another one.
