Hi ladies. So I had my last period on December 18th and here it is the 26th of January and still no period. I am usually really regular and my cycles are generally only between 24-27 days long. We are not trying to conceive so I have no idea if/when I ovulated but I took a dollar tree test about 5 days ago and it was negative. I don't really have any symptoms of AF coming or of pregnancy. I am wondering is it possible for it to be normal to just miss a period every once in a while?

Have you been under any extra stress? Ive had where I just skipped a period before I had Megan.

Yes, what actually happens is that for some reason (stress, illness, etc.), ovulation is delayed. So you could have ovulated late or you may not ovulate until it's closer to time for your next cycle. Have you had any unprotected sex? If so, I'd personally probably test every few days until AF shows up. If you've been using any sort of birth control, though, I probably wouldn't worry about it.

No we were using a loose version of FAM, thinking that I O'd around the middle of my normal cycle but after that it has been unprotected. I realize now I could have ovulated a LOT later than I thought but hopefully not at all. I guess I will buy another test today. I'll let you know the results.
