I've been having very consistent 28 day cycles for the past few months, and last weekend, I had unprotected sex on day 13 of my cycle (I do have a consistent 14 day luteal phase). He pulled out each time, although we probably had sex at least 4 times over the course of the night.
A week later, and I'm feeling pretty normal...but then again, I've had several losses over the past few years, and have never had symptoms with any of them, so I have learned that depending on symptoms is not a good measure for things with me :-)
Obviously, at 8 dpo, the preg test is negative, but am wondering if any of you ended up pregnant after the "pull and pray" ...and had no idea until a missed period. I've done my research online, but figured I'd check with real life experience out there.
I think the only thing I've noticed is a little more fatigue (consistent with my luteal phase) and some mild cramping (not consistent with my luteal phase). Cranky and grumpy as anything, but that could be due to my recent divorce and job stress :-)
Not sure if I'm just overthinking this or if I should worry.
thank you ladies and baby dust to all who want it!!! :-)

You could be overthinking it but there could have been precum left from the previous times that night you had sex...
But when you think about it, there is like 20% chance for a healthy couple who is actively ttc to conceive any month.

The timing was right to have conceived but many couples use the "pull and pray" method without a problem. I read somewhere that the only time there's really a risk of sperm in the pre-ejaculate is if the man doesn't urinate between ejaculations. Apparently, the urine helps to wash out any residual sperm so it doesn't get left behind to get mixed in with pre-ejaculate later.
Overall, I think the odds of you getting pregnant are relatively slim. Hope that helps!

I've never done the pull and pray, so I don't have much experience that way. I would have to second that the timing was definitely right, but I still think your chances are slim. Either way though, I've still heard of couples getting pg on pull-out. Good luck! I hope you get the answer you are looking for!

Thank you ladies! As always, I get the best answers here on JM. :-) I'm going to test tomorrow morning (it will be at 10dpo) so I'll probably get an answer. I tested with a defective test this morning (the first ever defective one, and I've POAS many a time) - and there was a funky pink line that upon further inspection, did not jive with the indentation that the hcg line is at. A second test was negative.
Whatever the verdict, I'll have some help for the next lady with a similar question :-)

My first pregnancy happened with the pull and pray method. I know the odds are slim but sometimes we win that lotto....

Yup, when withdrawal fails it is almost always because the couple goes back for seconds. There is definitely a chance.

Four times in one night? Wow!
Other than that, nothing to add. Good luck!
