Hi, I'm new to this board I've been reading and lurking for a long time, but finally decided to post. My husband and I are TTC our first. We are on our third cycle, and I am 11/12 DPO. I tested at 9/10 DPO, and got a BFN. I tested this morning (11/12 DPO) on a Dollar Tree test and got what I thought was a BFN. I looked at it again a couple of hours later (which I know you aren't supposed to do), and THOUGHT that MAYBE there was something there. I'm sure it's just an evap, but I can't help getting my hopes up! I swear something about this cycle just feels different, but I could just be imagining it. I can't figure out how to post a pic, but am hoping there have been others in the same position as I am! Thanks for any advice!!!

Pics can't be posted until you have more than 10 posts. I would wait and test again, the test isn't accurate if the line didn't show up within the time frame. GL!!

While you are absolutely right that you shouldn't look at the test after the time limit, I will say that sometimes, that's the first indication you get that a positive is on the way. And I will also say that dollar store tests can be bad about evap lines but it could still be a good sign for you! When are you planning to test again?

And yes, as soon as you have 10 posts you can post a pic of your test. Can't wait to see it!

I'm trying to wait and test again tomorrow morning, but I'm not sure I can restrain myself from testing again this afternoon lol. I took pics of this morning tests, but you can't really see anything except for a *possible* line on the inverted pic. Crossing my fingers!

Just an update... I finally got my BFP yesterday! (At 17 DPO!) The line was a little fainter on the test I took this morning. Should I be worried?

Congrats!!! Was the second test FMU? If not that could be why or maybe the test just had less dye.

Congrats on the BFP! As for the line being fainter today, it could just be that your urine was a little more diluted. If you're worried, though, your doctor can do a beta test to check your hcg levels. Good luck!
